Took advantage of that August 6th 10% off from Cabelas. Just my luck...my Internet was down.
Called in the order over the phone and used 28 gift cards...that was fun.

When I was a kid I dreamed of owning a pair of these.

But now...after looking and drooling at "overpriced" Swarovski optics for over 30 years in the annual Cabelas magazine....they are finally mine.

Gentlemen, this is some sweet glass.

Congrats, when you have a pair of Swarovski binos, all the threads on glass become click-bait. Do yourself a treat and set them up on the full moon on a clear night, you'll be shocked.

congrats ,you may have just made the best addition to your hunting gear there is. 20 something years ago ,I popped for the SLC 10x5os and have never regretted it.

My first Swarovski's were some 10x50 slc's that I bought when I was 26 and really couldn't afford them, but I'm sure glad I did buy them.

Were all the gift cards the 20% off? That is how I afforded my binoculars as well. I had friends and family buying the cards when they were limit 3 per person.

15X56 SLC HD's with the swaro adapter.

Gift Cards were a mixture of Capitol 1 Cabelas Gifr cards (No longer offered..), Birthday gift cards, Christmas gift cards, and the E-bay 80$(REAL MONEY) for $100 Cabelas cash.

I used the 10% off coupon as well.

It took some of the sting out of it for sure. But I figure if it helps me spot 10% more deer over the next 30 years then they will be worth every penny.

They also hold their value pretty well. You may even get the itch to upgrade someday!

I bought those binos a few years back, you will love them off the tripod. I almost never go deer hunting without them in the pack anymore. Even rifle hunting whitetail it's amazing how much more detail I can see with the 15x56's on a tripod at last light when a buck steps out compared to my 10x42's hand held. It's let me know if I should take or pass a few deer during legal shooting hours but on a cloudy, misty, or foggy evening when the mature bucks actually move at the end of legal shooting hours.

They dont sell the EL's in 15X56 that I am aware of.

Also, 2300$ was as far as I was going monetarily wise.

I have drove by Sydney all summer to the job site and resisted, but today I had to stop at Cabelas and pickup the 15 x 56 Swaros. Been wanting them for a couple years. They are awesome glass!

I just have to avoid certain places...whether or not they're on the way to work, the saloon, or church. [emoji38]

If I came home with that piece of glass, my wife would do this to me:
