My son came up to bowhunt with my wife and I during the archery deer and bear season. He was able to finally arrow is first Coues Deer. Not a giant, but a 19 yard shot made for a quick recovery.
I was still hunting and came across an ear tagged bear. It squared off and faced me at 30 yards ‘woofing’ at me. I only put up with that for a short time and ended up tagging my first AZ black bear. When I checked it in, G&F told me it was a problem bear that was trapped and moved 60 miles a month earlier…..they also said it was temperamental and was a good one to take.
Next up is my wife’s archery bull elk hunt.
