Buy the bow bare bow at cost. Then pick whatever accessories you want and make it your bow most RTS packages suck IMO.

I will have time soon to go shoot a number of them in a shop close to my place.

Second question/thought: I have not bought a bow that is already set up. How are the accessories that come with a ready to shoot bow?
Usually they are functional but not premium. The accessories included should work good enough until you can slowly customize and upgrade. Its like the scopes they put on the package rifles- they work but they aren't top of the line optics. I usually customize my accessories as I have developed preferences through the years. I like a spot hog sight for instance and I haven't seen one included in a package deal yet. I also like a certain style of drop away rest that usually isn't included. Some items that I do leave are string silencers, d-loops, some wrist straps, and occasionally they will come with a decent stabilizer, ...but almost always the sight, rest, and quiver are bottom of the line.

I shot for PSE for many years and really like their bows. My favorite was the Durango. I hunted with one for many years but switched to Mathews a few years back. I hunt with a Mathews Z7 now and it is a tack driver.

I shoot the pse x force revenge. This has been my favorite bow to date. It's short axle to axle, light weight, and fairly fast. It has allowed me to extend my range with more accuracy. It doesn't break the bank either.

I shoot a PSE Brute as well. I bought the bare bow and put premium components on it. I agree that the RTS packages are mediocre at best. I am from Az so I have shot PSE my whole life.
A bad day in the woods is better than a good day at work.
    Shoot the best, Shoot PSE!
