    Also try going through the rental companies website. You can usually get the trucks cheaper off airport rental. Like Hilltop I have been using Enterprise and rented a 4 door 4 wheel drive dodge last year. This year I reserved the same thing from Enterprise and have t reserved for 18 days at 608 dollars. There are 3 locations around and two of them where double that cost.

    Another nice thing is you can reserve the truck without any down payment. This way you can continue to look for better deals or cancel if something comes up.

    Keep in mind, anything close to an airport will be higher prices! Enterprise will "pick you up" so check with different branches. I have one branch over an hour away from me that will still deliver to my front door for free...not sure how they make money but they are doing it. I think $472 is still too high... Come up with any excuse for a business agenda along with the hunt- instant corporate rate.

    One thing to remember about trucks from rental place is the tires. I had to use a rental truck 2 years ago when my jeep was in an accident and I loaned out my truck to a friend. I was scared to take it off the county road with the low ground clearance and highway tires.

    I've rented 4WD trucks on two different occasions. Both were in Bozeman Montana. The first time I used Ressler Toyota and rented a 4WD Tacoma. They were awesome. Dropped the truck off at airport so when I landed at 11 p.m. it was there waiting on me unlocked with keys in center console. Next year I went out they would no longer drop it off at airport for some reason. I called Journey Rental Car. They have 4WD trucks to and are very accommodating as well. These guys were awesome and they are elk hunters to. Can't remember the prices but they were very reasonable. I was able to "jew" the down pretty easy. Good guys! Best thing about hunting season in places like Bozeman is that it's after the summer vacation bunch so these guys are ready to make a deal. Either way just think out of the box when trying to rent a truck. Call actual dealers instead of Enterprise etc and search around. Journey even allows you to tow a drift boat and will supply the trailer hitch. Either way if your flying to Bozeman here is a couple options.
