I just drew a tag for Nov. 12-16 in Unit 16 (DER-1-180). This was my third choice draw tag, and honestly, I do not know much about the area. I have seen some nice deer through the Gila, but have never been around long enough to say I even know where to start.

I am guessing temperatures will be normal Central New Mexico for the altitude of about 7,000-9,000 feet. When it gets cold I would expect that hunting the lower elevations and draws would be more productive or if it's warmer hit the elevated ridges and glass down.

Anybody have any info? If you have hunted the area or if you know the area any help would be useful. Thanks in advance and good luck to everybody that drew a tag.
