After many years of reading/following various threads in this forum, I suppose its time for an introduction..
My name is Chris, I am a native of Colorado and have explored and hunted all over this state, as well as hunting in many other states. I am married to a great woman who attempts to understand and tolerates my hunting obsession. We have a 4 year old son and 2 Labradors. I enjoy anything outdoors, photography and family. I have recently volunteered to become a Hunters Education Instructor. I am employed by the State of Colorado-CDPS.
I have been on the preference point roller coaster here in Colorado for nearly two decades for everything in our limited draw, in some cases I am on my third go around in point collection and others I am at 20 pp and apprehensive to burn them up. My bear points have disappeared, so it does appear I will be hunting bear on the Bosque del Oso this September. One redeeming thing about waiting to draw these tags is it allows for extensive knowledge building of the places I want to hunt. I am always willing to pass along starting points for those that want a little direction or assistance. I do believe that Eastman's forum is one of the more respectful places to talk all things hunting, even though we all fancy ourselves subject matter experts, but that is what makes these forums interesting and entertaining.
Talk to y'all down the road....
Welcome to the forum. Hope you drew that bear tag cant wait to here about that hunt. Thanks for volunteering to do hunter safety classes and teaching our new hunters the safe and correct ways to hunt. Glad to have yeah here

Thanks for the introduction!
Welcome to the forum. Lots of good folks here to chat with. Looks like we have the same bear tags at the Bosque del oso. Did you draw early or late Sept.?
Put in for the early portion of September.. I have had two different friends hunt there-one for elk and one for bear. Both had great experiences.. I am really looking forward to early September.
Early sept. for me too. See you then.
"Now two flags fly above my land that really sum up how I fee. One is the colors that fly high and proud The red, the white, the blue. The other one's got a rattlesnake With a simple statement made "Don't tread on me" is what it says and I'll take that to my grave. Because this is me. I'm proud to be American and strong in my beliefs. And I've said it before but I'll say it again 'Cause my family's always fought and died to save this land. And a country boy is all I'll ever be."
Welcome to the forum. Glad your here. Thanks

Welcome!!! Bosque is a special place... Might not see many elk on your Bear hunt though. Are you camping on site or staying in Stonewall?
