    Montana Changes

Guy just sent me this, and we wanted all of you to be aware!

Montana FWP is changing the HD hunt codes for each species in to order make a consistent formula for male, female and either-sex codes across the board. APPLICANTS BE AWARE that your usual hunt codes may change in 2014! For example bighorn sheep either-sex units will end in 20 through 29, adult ewe units will end in 30 through 39 and legal ram units will end in 60 through 69. Bottom line – make absolutely certain of your unit choice prior to applying! It would be a shame to waste years of preference points on a hunt you didn't want!-Guy

I was almost hoping to keep a lid on this, Scott. This could be the best odds for sheep in decades.

That was my thought, too! Oh, well. I'll have to go back to praying.
