Hunters and Huntresses,
It is a new year and time for new goals both in and of the hunt and in our lives. I achieved a couple lifelong goals this past fall and am already ramping it up for next fall. I don't think it is ever too early to begin revisiting our goals. Along with planning hunts should come planning how to realize the goals we set. Mark Drury once said, "Plan the execution, execute the plan..." I firmly believe this and would like to dedicate this thread to anything motivational from hunting fitness to the outdoor lifestyle. There is tons of material out there so consider this a gauntlet being thrown down. Let the Motivating begin!

I was in top shape a year and a half ago for my NZ Stag hunt, since then couch potato baby I may have to join you.
I played baseball in college and I must say it has been all down hill from there! I really need to get in better shape for this season . When the season gets here I always wish I had done more physically. Hopefully I'll get out and get some work done this year!
Now therefore, please take your weapons, your quiver and your bow, and go out to the field and hunt game for me.
Genesis 27:3 (NKJV)
If your going to be the ultimate predator, you're gonna have to ramp it up cause that's a race that never ends.
I've already started ramping it up. I just got finished with my last archery hunt and I am back to running the hills, lifting in the gym, and stacking arrows.
My wife is losing her baby weight and I seem to be finding it. Have one more weekend of being gone hunting and eating terribly before Insanity kicks back in.
Yeah, I'm at it again too. Run, Lift, Shoot.
However, lest we forget; "For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come." 1 Timothy 4:8
Take care of the important things first! It is sooo easy to lose focus on what really matters in this life. We can get to goal oriented and overlook what really matters in life.
Thanks Mr. Seacat.
With that said here's Cam's thoughts on Training and Diet... http://youtu.be/OfQEq8__Ohs
Pray Hard, Train Hard, Hunt Easy!
Partial workout station in the basement, which is great when its 15 degrees outside. Turn on outdoor channel, ultimate survival Alaska, or a hockey game and get to work!
