Actually, it has a somewhat bitter taste.
I have the same soup this year. Only it's the Idaho Elk tag soup flavor.
Now thats funny IKIC!! I hear its best to soak the tag for a week first to soften it up
I had some of that this year too.. My recipe included elk, bear and tears.
For only the 2nd time in my hunting career, I didn't have tag soup this year lol
