Very sad. Hope this doesn't turn into much worse then it already is!
I go to the Mountains to loose my mind and find my soul.
DAMN!! I hope this doesn't spread.
Darn that's not good!!!
I am interested to know what caused it.
What a shame. Let's hope that it stays contained to that area only.
Curious as well!! In an EHD case the animals are usually found near water as it makes them very thirsty and search for water. Lightning strike has killed herds here in Colorado before and Elk eating lichen in Wyoming wiped out a bunch a few years back. Guess we will see!!!
wow, it said it was on a ranch, is it an elk ranch or hunting ranch or are these wil delk that are on a low fence ranch? id like to know, this is crazy
Well it could have been EHD like the biologists suspect but who knows, maybe some idiot wanted to screw up the elk herd on somebody's ranch and they poisoned the water. Definitely is concerning though
I'm not sure if the elk were concentrated but a lightening strike can take out quite a few animals.
