How long to draw tag in Nevada?

I bought points for deer and antelope in Nevada this year. I'm not going to put in for a tag until 2016. I'm just curious how long it has taken other non-residents to draw some of the better northern units? Nevada's draw system is kind of weird. What do expect from the casino state. Any input would be great. Even funny sarcastic comments. Thanks

Im thinking it takes more then 4 years since I have I have been putting in that long and not drawn anything yet. There are stats on the NV web site on how many points it generally takes to draw but that doesnt always work either since I didnt draw a tag this year that everyone with 3 points drew last year. All we can do is keep paying app fees and buying a NR license every year and hope someday we get lucky!

I think this qualifies as a funny sarcastic comment, although I you nailed it on the sheep and goat.

I hope Ikeepitcold is right because that would fit it to my longterm hunting plan.

I would be rifle hunting. For deer I have been looking at early or late(61-64, 66-68) and for antelope (61, 62, 64, 71, 71). But I'm always doing research and looking for new oppurtunities.

I'm a non-resident from Oregon. I drew desert sheep in 2002 with max points. I drew elk in 2006 with over 10 points I recall. I drew antelope in 2010 with 14 points, and I have 21 points for deer and still have not drawn, but I am pretty picky on the unit I draw for deer. I currently have 19 points for California bighorn and still have awful draw odds.

NV is the only state I apply in that will probably take more then 4 or 5 points to draw other then my home state. I try to pick units I can draw every 3 to 5 years in other states I apply in. I call NV my dream state. I dont mind having 1 long shot state in the mix but I want to hunt the others every few years.
