I regrettably sold my .280 a few years ago, but I finally got another one! Only this time it's a Nosler 280AI!! I cannot wait to get it scoped and try it out! It's on a Winchester Model 70 action with a Shilen 24" stainless barrel.

This is a real timely thread. Working up loads right now for a new build chambered in the .280 Rem. Today I found what is probably going to be my load. 60.0gr. H4831sc/Nosler 140 Accubond/RP case/Fed 215 primer. Chronograph at 3049fps from a 22" barrel with accuracy.

Shoots just under half inch groups @ 3100 fps . Great caliber and I wouldn't hesitate to shoot at anything with this gun.
the 280 maybe the most under rated caliber out there IMHO thanks for load I purchased a 280 for my wife and boys several years ago and was just getting ready to start reloading for it.

A buddy of mine uses H1000 in his Tikka .280. I don't know how much, but I know it's a compressed load.

    ETA:

Hornady Amax or sst. 162 gr 64 gr H1000. Approximately 2850 fps, 24" barrel
