I have a stock paid off 2004 Ford ranger. It is the one with the 4.0 liter which makes for crappy mpg but it helps driving the passes in Colorado. It is going into the shop next week to get a leveling kit as well as new tires and other stuff done. Not the best truck but I like it because it is narrow and does well on the narrower Colorado back roads. It has 160,000 miles on it and other than routine maint. no problems whatsoever.

Well, I am downsizing, just got rid of a 95 F250 4x4 PSD, and it just was too much to operate with Diesel in/around $4. Just going to have to minimalize my thinking towards a "all around" hunting, commuting, etc, vehicle...have had the CJ, 4x4 S10, etc in the past,they all had their Pro's and Con's.....
I need to figure it out, as I am going to be without a vehicle when we move back to the states next year.
We will need 2, I am thinking I want the wife to have a Wrangler Unlimited.
I wish the bastards still made a Ford Excursion.

89 gmc 2500 is my hunting truck. have had it for a very long time and has been my baby. well over 200k. enough balls and guts to get done what needs done. and enough room to climb under hood and work on things without ripping everything out. its been retired this fall though and now looking for another hunting rig. im looking at ford rangers, 4x ofcourse. toyota tundras are cathing my eye. older ones that i wont care get scratched up a bit in the hills. a good hunting truck will have scratches up and down the sides, top and everywhere inbetween
