    Vortex 20-60X85 Eyepiece Connection

Received my Vortex 85 mm a few weeks ago and am noticing a couple things:

When the eyepiece is fully engaged in the body it is slightly loose and where the eyepiece contacts the spotter body there is a slight misalignment or gap "See Pic" at the top.
The other thing that I am not thrilled with is when dialing magnification it feels rough, doesn't feel smooth and fluid.

For you guys that own this unit or have given them a test drive please chime in........should this be expected or do I need to use there stellar warranty service already.

    Thanks, Chuck

Mine fit flush and was really smooth on the mag ring. I would call Vortex.

I agree completely, there is a o ring that should nest and seal into the body once the eyepiece is fully engaged and locked. Something is a little screwy, gonna give Vortex a call in a bit.
