Planning on applying for deer in Idaho this year. I know I must purchase a hunting license to apply. What else has to be sent in and is the license nonrefundable?

Regarding Idaho deer controlled hunts, page 108 of the Idaho Big Game 2017 & 2018 Season & Rules states:
"Refunds and Overpayment
Fees for hunting licenses will not be refunded to unsuccessful or ineligible applicants. Application fees for controlled hunts are not refundable."
As a non-resident (NR) of Idaho, I just buy a 3-year NR hunting/fishing combo license, yearly NR deer tag, and 3-year access/depredation fee. [Forgot to include the Gray Wolf tag as well.]
I only own 10-acres in Idaho, but there's [600] acres of State of Idaho land attached to the north boundary, and I can look across a draw from my southern boundary at multiple thousands of acres of BLM land. It's totally worth the money for me to "hunt right" in the state I was raised, and the state I still love to visit.

Thanks guys. Sounds like an awesome place u got there!
If you decide to buy the license and apply($14.75 if I remember correctly) but don't draw you can come to Idaho and hunt for upland birds with the same license or you can just buy a general deer tag and throw a dart at a map and most likely it's gonna land on a general unit. Good luck to ya
