Worked my last two years of high School working part time in the glass industry. Stayed with that for 18 more, owning my own for the last 6 years of that trade. Shifted gears in 2012 and went to work for a northern Nevada gold mine. I get to take care of the 7200 volt shovel cable. The mine does offer a great package. I work 5-4-5 so basically 14 days a month and get 14 days off with using 48 hours of vacation, and after 5 years I can do that three times a year!

I currently work as the head brewer at a small brewery in Colorado we do about 12,000 barrels a year. Brewed just short of 1800 gal of double IPA today.. We do mostly big beers -8-11% apv and barrel age beers. Also cultivating my own yeast strain from flowers that live above timberline as that has not been done much.

Do a bit of distillation as a side gig making my own spirits and ageing them. My best is a 36 mo aged apple brandy in med char oak that was ran 2x so about 85 proof. Got a lot of barrels with different stuff in them. Opening fermenting a batch of single grain whiskey right now - see how it turns out in about 2020... Also I distill all the beer I make and some of that turns out good folks either like it or they dont kinda thing.

It works out that they know that in late Aug and Sept I will not be showing up at the brewery much lol..
