WY Region H Deer
Here I come, ready or not. Yes, I'm a little discouraged about the talk of winter kill this year and a little nervous about the potential of running into a grizzly. I can't wait to hunt some new country though. As a non-resident, the wilderness area will limit my choices on a DIY hunt. I have read that there's some steep and deep country in Reg H. Time to step up the exercise routine.
I have read that the non-wilderness areas can receive a great deal of pressure. If you are familiar with the unit and the deer hunt, should I consider the bowhunt in early Sept in lieu of the rifle opener in Mid-Sept? Will a 2-3 mile spike camp get me away from the crowds? Thanks for your input.
clause peak or the ramshorn is where i would focus mostly on its a journey but good chance of seein a booner
I would avoid clause peak and the ramshorn at all cost. unless you enjoy seeing orange spots in every direction. that country gets pounded. pm me if you would like some better info.
I wouldn't lie to you it does get some pressure i know muley man but i've seen some hogs come off of both spots
