I just shot them through my bow today and they shoot better than my montecs do. And the tip went through the backside of my block target where as my block stops montecs no problem
ill note that when i was shooting earlier this spring withthem that i was using 300 epics, now im using 400. 100 grain toxics.... new string. september cant get here soon enough!
Toxics are illegal here in Colorado. Cutting edges must be on the same plane for the entire length.
Well I shot my buck the other day with a toxic at 30 yards. I didn't get a complete pass through as I hit the opposite shoulder. The shot was angled downhill pretty good, and I hit him perfect behind the shoulder and the arrow went directly through the center of his heart. There wasn't much a blood trail as the entry was a little high and no exit wound. However the buck ran straight downhill and only made it about 80 yards, and I watched him pile up in front of me. It was unbelievable how much hemorrhaging the buck had all the way up to the base of his skull. He had more damage than some animals I have shot with my 300 win mag. Here is a picture of the hole it punched out of his heart. The broadhead stayed in tact the whole time, and it looks just as good as new. The big slice in the heart is from my knife when I was trying to cut everything out.Attachment 6471
I ran across these the other day when I went by the pro-shop. They look absolutely mean! I am really leaning towards trying some out after spending time watching several youtube videos on them, despite the rather upset crossbow user.
From the design they are by far the best core type broadhead I have ever seen, and look well worth a few in the bag..or block!
I dont like them. I don't like blades that bend and I also see penetration issues on larger animals.
