I reached my first goal started at 238lbs Jan.31st after my work out last night I weight in at 199.2lbs my next goal is 190lbs going to run my first marathon this year :cool:

Nice work. What have you been doing to shed the pounds? I just started last week and have dropped 6lbs so far. The season will be here before we know it!

started running, extreme biking, weights, doing some eliptical work, no soda better eating habits. Started running Jan.31 made it 1/4 mile thought I was going to die turned around and walked home after a week was able to run the whole mile then after 3 weeks started running in some 5K's running 4 miles 2 times a week long run on weekend. Start training for the marathon next month

now 320, started at 344. 24 lbs gone.
Sorry, didnt weigh in until late last night. NEW current weigh-in reveals 5 more pounds gone for a grand total of 29 lbs as of 6-3-11 @ 315 lbs

I'm down 11lbs since winter on my way to 270lbs for summer. I am also up to almost 600lbs on the leg press. Soon I'll have diesel pistons for legs.
Maintaining my goal weight. Ran my first ever 5k race this morning. Came in second place in the 40 and up division. Very happy with that! Now I have a personal best time to try and beat and another race in two weeks.

Holding steady on my weight and hope to loose another 6-7 lbs. before late August. Ran a 5K this morning and have another on June 18. My Dad and I are running a half marathon in October. Between the race with my dad and my elk hunt I should have plenty of motivation.

I am 69 years old and stay pretty active taking care of my place, growing a little hay and competative shooting. I have always been a pretty big guy, played football at a major So. Calif Univ and weighed 240/250 playing weight (middle Linebacker). Had a total knee replacement 7 years ago, so no running or high impact stuff. Started working out in a local gym about a year ago, mostly eliptical, treadmill and stretching/flexibility. Lost 40 pounds so far. Spend 1 to 1 1/2 hours 5 or 6 days a week. Do one hour on the treadmill. Goal is to lose another 20 and get down to 200. The older I get the harder it is to lose the weight and stay motivated.

Everyone that is doing this is awesome. It will pay dividends this hunting season. I started running in January as well. I have run a 5k and the Boulder Boulder 10k. I lift 5 days a week and run 4 days a week. I am 6'1" and weigh in at 185.

Down 5 lbs, just started working out, been eating better. 225, i got down to 220 before my hunt last year, I think I can get to 210 by Sep. Doing stairs one day, interval running the next to pump up my cardio. After either of those do 30 min TV workout, which is good overall body and core strength and more cardio. Pushups and situps if I have the energy. Of course walk the dog her 1.5 miles a day.
The biggest challenge right now is the heat in Houston, its close to 100 degrees when I get off work and working out outside you are fighting heat exhaustion as much as your own limitations. Last night I ate dinner and took a nap, then started my workout at 8 pm when the sun went down, seemed to work out ok.

I'm doing good. Cardio is coming along and now that the snow is melting I can get out and do some hiking/scouting trips. Found out today I got a limited entry bull moose draw so I am going to add some more weight to my pack to be ready for those big quarters.

I have been doing the "insanity" workout, it's a butt kicker. Got some more motivation once I drew my archery Mule deer tag. Keep workin fellas

If anyone needs cardio work, run intervals. Sprint 2 minutes, walk 2 minutes. Do 5-8 reps. At the end of your sprint you should be gasping for air. This is the BEST way to improve your ability to metabolize oxygen, it works amazingly well to get your wind up.
