View Full Version : Looking For Alternate Muley Unit In Region C

Hi Everyone,

I am new to the forum. I am taking my 13 year old son Antelope hunting in Unit 113. We are paying a trespass fee to hunt. Our problem is the deer situation has become a little spotty according to the rancher. She is a very nice lady and she let me know that in advance. My question to those of you that don't mind sharing, does anyone know of a decent priced private ranch around Buffalo? I have the list and will call, but thought maybe some of you have a suggestion or possibly know a landowner that can benefit from our situation. To be clear, there are deer on the ranch we are hunting, but she said they are becoming scarce. I appreciate any help I can get. I realize I am jumping on asking for help, but.....I really need it!

Thanks in advance. This site is awesome!

Good luck to you. Wish I could help, but the only thing I know is trespass fees are what they are and some ranchers think they are worth gold...cant blame them because some people pay through the roof for them. If you have plenty of time maybe you could spend a couple days looking over the public land. There is not a lot but C is a big region and you could get lucky, just by walking a 1/2 mile off the road will get you away from the majority of hunters.

For sure go ahead and call the list, this late there may not be any openings or very few.

Looking on some maps the majority of Antelope area 113 is BLM land, why would you not hunt that rather than paying a trespass fee?

Most of that BLM in 113 is land locked and requires a trespass fee just to get to the BLM land

I dont think antelope 113 is in deer region C, I thought it was mainly in deer unit 31. I may be wrong as I dont have my map pulled up.
