A couple of buddies and are trying to plan a DIY deer hunt to either one of these states. Are the bowtags OTC or draw?
Any kind of would be great. Are planning a turkey hunt and a deer scouting trip for this spring. Need to find a good area to camp also. Thankyou!

well I live in Nebraska and have been trying for 5yrs to get a mulie now and nothing. I hunt mostly public in the sandhills area, and have only had encounters with small mulie bucks and does. The mulie population has been on the downward trend for years but the last 3 yrs it has dropped like a rock! We have plenty of turkey and a good whitetail population but we have ehd spreading over the state taking out a lot of deer so im not sure where our deer population will stand in the future.

I live in eastern wyoming and hunt SD deer a lot. If you put in for the NR archery deer tag, it is 100% draw. The mule deer population is dropping fast though. The black hills are a great place to hunt but if you can get on private land outside the hills they have a little bit bigger deer. There are some big deer in the hills just a littler harder to come by.

I sounds just like a fun hunt that a few guys can camp and have a good time. Any good recommandations on areas to camp at?
