Thanks to my oldest son Ben the story of our wolf hunt is in the current issue of Fur Fish and Game. I could be biased but I feel Ben did an outstanding job and I'm very proud of him for getting his first article published and making a couple bucks at it.

I have been holding out on posting the pics of the kill until the story came out but here they are.

She had killed this buck and was just finishing her meal when I spotted her and was able to kill her with a snap shot with the old 30-30.

Sorry if your all tired of hearing about my wolf I just wanted to give Ben a little recognition for getting his article published and would love to hear what you think if you happen to have a copy and read the article.

Good luck wolf hunting this fall! I am going back with high hopes of killing a black one this trip. :)

"The old 30-30" -- awesome.
(just threw my hat in the ring for the Wisconsin wolf hunt -- first year ever -- with about 7,000 others I hear).

Great job. Congrats on getting published in FFG, it's been an old stand by magazine for years. I remember reading an article about a guy trapping muskrats on a creek on the ground that I farming today. 45 years ago. Nice wolf.

Thats great. My dad use to get FFG during the 70's, 80's and 90's. Its a good magazine with stories and lessons you normally won't find in other magazines. Tom Miranda actually got his start as a writer as the trapping editor for the magazine. His stuff was good; too bad he sold out.
