Hey guys just got back from Arizona on a spot and stalk archery coues deer hunt. I wanted to share a picture of what I was able to harvest. The buck green scores at 113 7/8 witch far exceeds pope and young and sci requirements for booking an animal

Huge buck man congrats. What an accomplishment. A spot and stalk coues in itself is an awesome feat but then a 114 inch coues on top of that. Man that is a buck of a lifetime.

Thanks Guys!! Ya I was fortunate enough to glass him workin a hill side by a large cut and was able to drop back get ahead of him enough to set up and wait and was able to get a shot off. Definatly a buck of a life time never thot I would harvest a record book animal let alone a coues deer at that.

what is boone and crockett minimum?

looks awesome!

was that during a gun season? or bow only season?

01-28-2012, 05:54 PM
Thanks Guys!

Husky B&C min is 110 but with deductions I am not sure if it will make it. I will be trying tho I kno SCI and P&Y both are under the 80" mark I wanna say 65" or 70 for some reason

This is a giant buck. I'm absolutly obsessed with hunting these little tiny deer and have been doing it for years and havent killed a buck of this caliber. Have missed bucks this big. You should post up a story on coueswhitetail.com and lets all of the other coues enthusists take a look at ur buck. a load of guys that are just as obsessed with hunting coues as I am. They would love to check it out. Congrats again Shaun.

01-29-2012, 10:34 AM
Shane I will do that! Thank You!!!

01-12-2013, 11:29 PM
Wow! Nice buck for 32. Congrats!!!

01-13-2013, 09:49 AM
I dont know a lot about coues either but that is one thick deer. It looks like you have more than 5 points of deductions just from eye balling it. It doesn't matter if it doesn't book B&C, that is one hell of an accomplishment with a bow!

You should send a story in for Eastmans' Bowhunting Journal.
